Will hair oil help with dandruff?

Will hair oil help with dandruff?

So in typical fashion of how I write my articles. I’ll give you the answer up front; the answer is yes. But stay around and find out ‘why’. Don’t you want to know why things happen? If the answer is yes, then you have an intelligent brain and are probably in a philosophical mess on why you’re here on earth after asking too many ‘why’s’. If you said no, you’re probably a little slow, but a lot happier; good for you.

Hair oils help with dandruff in a variety of different ways. To get to how hair oils help dandruff, we should first understand what causes dandruff.

Dandruff is mainly caused by a few things:

  1. A dry scalp (flaky scalp)
  2. Malassezia Overgrowth (fungal overgrowth)
  3. Seborrheic Dermatitis (red inflamed skin)

So, a dry scalp, fungal overgrowth & inflamed skin. I mean, you don’t want any of these things, but if you had to choose one; you’re probably choosing for it to be a dry scalp. In which case, you can use hair oils that have moisturising oils such as Sweet Almond Oil, Olive Oil or Jojoba Oil; all of which can be found in GROWTH, our hair oil which is linked here *wink wink*. These oils will help moisturise and balance sebum/oil production, so your scalp will no longer be dry. Pretty straight forward.

Fungal overgrowth, now that does sound a little disturbing; don’t worry though (I would be panic, joke). Malassezia is a fungi that feeds on the oil produced by the hair follicle. Overgrowth of this fungi causes itchiness, shedding of skin which then leads to dandruff. Oils like tea tree oil and peppermint oil both have anti fungal properties which can really help alleviate fungal overgrowth. Both of these oils are present in GROWTH, our hair oil which is linked here *wink wink*.

Lastly, inflamed skin. Seborrheic Dermatitis is a common condition that involves red, inflamed skin & excessive oiliness. Oils such as Olive Oil, Black Seed Oil, R osehip Oil & Peppermint oil are well known for their anti-inflammatory properties which can help conditions like Seborrheic Dermatitis. Also, oiling your hair and scalp regularly helps balance sebum/oil production which in turn stops excessively oily scalps. All those oils mentioned are in GROWTH, our hair oil which is linked here *wink wink*.

Jokes and shameless product plugging aside, I genuinely hope this helps you have a happier and more healthier scalp. I remember a time when my scalp was constantly itchy, the dandruff was thriving and I always felt horrible, thankfully that isn’t the case anymore so truly, take my advice; whether you buy our hair oil or buy them from wherever - oiling your scalp will definitely help.

I told you the answer was ‘yes’, have no idea of why you read till here.
